Mother Teresa is one of my top five favorite saints!
There are countless reasons why to admire Mother Teresa.
I will list just a few.
She was a light in the world, even when she couldn’t feel the light.
Mother Teresa experienced 50 years of darkness.
If you are experiencing darkness, ask Mother Teresa to pray for you.
Her presence made a difference in the lives of those around her.
Kindness was in her face and love was given from her heart.
One woman, who changed a lot of peoples lives.
Mother Teresa valued life and spoke up when everyone else stayed quiet.
I said there were many things to admire and there are but the dignity and respect of the human person is what I love most about Mother Teresa.
This year is the election and who we vote for matters.
Who will stand up for the unborn, the voiceless?
The Catholic Catechism teaches:
“A disqualifying issue is one which is of such gravity and importance that it allows for no political maneuvering. It is an issue that strikes at the heart of the human person and is non-negotiable. A disqualifying issue is one of such enormity that by itself renders a candidate for office unacceptable regardless of his position on other matters. You must sacrifice your feelings on other issues because you know that you cannot participate in any way in an approval of a violent and evil violation of basic human rights. A candidate for office who supports abortion rights or any other moral evil has disqualified himself as a person that you can vote for. You do not have to vote for a person because he is pro-life. But you may not vote for any candidate who supports abortion rights.”
“Jesus said, “I am the Truth”, and it is your duty and mine to speak the truth. Then it is up to the person who hears it whether to accept or reject it.” Mother Teresa
One woman, who spoke and lived the Truth.
“We fear the future because we are wasting the today.” Mother Teresa
Life is not to be wasted.
Mother, Teresa, pray for our country to value life and protect those most vulnerable.
Mother Teresa used her 1979 Nobel Peace Prize acceptance speech to speak out against legalized abortion. She reminded world leaders that if we truly want to live up to the ideals of justice and equality, then that has to start with upholding the dignity and worth of every human life.
Amen 👏
Wow Gabbie. Thank you. Well said. Your Catechism inserts make the position clear for any Catholic/Christian that gets bogged down with the attempts of the abortion industry to make the issue “not clear”. Even the people that try to condescend those that vote on one issue—-some issues truly are THAT defining and worthy of a vote at the polls.
PS- I see your Mom’s debate skills filtering down through you in this argument! (and your mom was a good debater!) 😉
